Chocolate Chip Cookie Brownies
As I'm sure I've stated before... I absolutely adore brownies. Know what else I adore? Chocolate chip cookies. So, it only made sense that I would completely fall in love with a Chocolate Chip Cookie Brownie, right? I thought so. I decided to make some in my "Perfect Brownie Pan" which is my favorite thing to bake brownies and bars in (it makes them perfectly even and gives them that perfectly crisp edge that is so desired)! \My daughter was having a playdate the day I made them, so I thought that would be the perfect way to get the children all sugared-up so they would run around like wild animals and burn off some of their energy... because, as we all know, 6 and 7 year old children have a never-ending supply of energy... It's ridiculous.
In order to make these chocolate chip cookie brownie bars even more adorable, I highly, HIGHLY suggest you decorate them with a little swirl of frosting and top them with a Cookie Crisp Cereal cookie. It would be a shame to eat one without it... but, I suppose it can be done! ;)
Chocolate Chip Cookie Brownie Bars Recipe: {Print Recipe}
Ingredients:
1 box Fudgy brownie mix
Eggs* according to package directions
Oil* according to package directions
Water* according to package directions
2-1/2 cups prepared chocolate chip cookie dough (I made the recipe on the back of the Ghirardelli package!)
Non-stick spray
*optional - Frosting & Cookie Cereal to decorate
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Prepare brownie mix according to box instructions. Set aside.
Lightly grease a Perfect Brownie Pan or a 9"x 9" square baking dish. Press cookie dough into bottom of pan. Pour brownie mixture over the top.
Bake in preheated oven for about 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Allow to cool. Cut into 16 equal pieces.
Embellish with frosting and adorable tiny cookie.
