So, i'm sure you've noticed that one of the latest trends is juicing. Chances are you know someone who is an avid juicer who wakes up at the crack of dawn to extract the juice from nutrient and vitamin-rich veggies and fruits to get their day started the right way. Am I right? I know I do. I know quite a few people, actually, who swear by it! So, when I was given the chance to test out the CL-851 Professional 850-Watt Juice Extractor from Sunpentown, I was extremely excited and a little intimidated all at the same time.
The CL-851 Juicer comes equipped with a die-cast aluminum exterior and stainless steel (dishwasher-safe!) parts. It's a super attractive little appliance and it looks great surrounded by a bounty of fresh fruits and veggies... see?
The Cl-851 comes with a 4/5-Liter juice container that catches all of your delicious juice and a disposal bin that catches all of the unused parts of the fruits and veggies. It also comes with a neat little brush that helps you keep your filter and other parts sparkling clean!
One thing I noticed immediately when I first used the juicer was the large, 3" feed tube! You can fit whole apples right in the chute without cutting them first! That was pretty awesome. From what I've read and seen you usually only see the really expensive juicers that have that capability, so, I thought that was pretty great. Another thing I loved about the juicer was how quick it could extract the juice from what I was juicing! It took just a couple of seconds to completely juice an entire apple and an entire cucumber! This baby has a lot of power!
The CL-851 has 2 speed settings - the high speed setting is great for harder fruits/veggies like apples, carrots, etc. and the lower setting is good for citrus, melons, blueberries and softer fruits/veggies! Pretty simple, right?
Overall, the Sunpentown CL-851 Juice Extractor is an amazing product for the price! It's a sturdy, fast and effective appliance that won't break the bank! It's also extremely easy to clean! I was shocked at how little time it actually took to get the whole unit back to it's original sparkling state! The included brush really helps to keep your filter free of debris! It's a great appliance if you're a once, twice or even 3x-a-day juicer. The one complaint I would have would be that the latches that hold the lid to the base seem like they could be broken off if you were to bash it against something. So, just make sure not to bash it against anything and I think it should be just fine!
